The Society of VR Engineers (SOVREN™), is bringing together VR professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts who are passionate about shaping the future of VR technology. SOVREN’s™ mission is to drive innovation, set industry standards, and foster meaningful collaboration among VR engineers worldwide. By providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and professional development, SOVREN empowers its members to tackle the unique challenges of VR engineering. The organization encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, supports educational initiatives, and promotes best practices to ensure the impactful growth of VR technologies. Whether you are an experienced engineer or new to the field, SOVREN offers opportunities to connect, learn, and contribute to the evolution of virtual reality. We encourage all who are interested in VR to join SOVREN and be part of a vibrant community committed to advancing VR engineering and shaping the immersive experiences of tomorrow.
SOVREN’s first major standard is PanaMaxVR™, a groundbreaking VR motion picture format designed for cinemas, restaurants, specialty venues, and home theaters. PanaMaxVR™ redefines VR storytelling by enabling breathtaking 180º and 360º visuals, paired with 128 channels of immersive sound that envelop viewers from every direction. This format transcends traditional flat motion picture screens, offering creators and audiences a new realm of cinematic VR possibilities while maintaining compatibility with previous motion picture formats.
CiniVista, LLC is a founding member of SOVREN and will be the first to implement the PanaMaxVR™ format in its VistaDome™ VR auditoriums. Working closely with SOVREN, CiniVista is helping to validate and refine PanaMaxVR™, ensuring it meets the highest standards for both creators and audiences. Together SOVREN and CiniVista invite artists, directors and filmmaker to elevate their craft and to push the boundaries of immersive entertainment to a level that has not been previously possible.
