Crafted specifically for cinema-style venues, this groundbreaking system accommodates tiered seating and commercial construction realities, delivering breathtaking panoramic visuals to an entire audience – where every seat is the best seat in the house.

A foundational goal of the PanaMaxVR™ format is to ensure seamless compatibility with all previous motion picture formats. Toward this goal, the PanaMaxVR™ 360° display has been divided into two distinct visual fields. The first segment is called the “Core Visual Field”.  It is the primary area of the PanaMaxVR™ display when looking straight ahead at the display.

For larger VistaDome™ installations, this portion of the display spans over 40 feet in height and 134 feet in width. It is conservatively defined as 150° horizontally by 45° vertically (a 30:9 aspect ratio), with a gentle 1000R curvature designed to closely mimic the human eye’s natural field of view. Within this area, PanaMaxVR™ can display beautifully showcased content from a wide range of legacy large-format, 70mm, curved-screen, and/or anamorphic technologies – including Ultra-Panavision®, CinemaScope®, VistaVision®, Cinerama®, Todd-AO®, Dimension-150®, Technirama®, and IMAX® – all rendered with exceptional fidelity and grandeur.
